Introduction


K701 is a double acting seals. The rubber sealing element is designed with multi lip for efficient dynamic sealing.

The profile seal ring seals in both the static and dynamic range with back up ring to prevent extrusion into the sealing  gap. The function of guide ring is to guide piston  in the cylinder tube and to absorb transverse forces.

A double-acting seal for one piece piston, the K701 represents an inexpensive sealing solution that guarantees excellent resistance where medium pressure is present. Composed of five elements (central part in NBR, two support rings in thermoplastic material and two acetalic guide rings).

The nitrile rubber seal has proved itself to be extremely wear resistant in service. It is designed to be compressed by the housing to ensure a low pressure seal and when pressured be protected from extrusion damage by the extending lips of the support ring. A tough flexible polymer is used for the support ring which is scarf cut for assembly and to protect the seal from damage. This type is characterized by a Z-shaped back-up ring which forms a chamber with the elastomer seal ring on the inside and is centered on the outside by the guide ring.

Piston Seals or Piston Rings are used in hydraulic cylinders for fluid sealing and are designed to ensure that pressured fluid does not leak across the cylinder head as the system pressure pushes the piston down the cylinder bore.
